What happens leading up to my roofing project?
Our team will be busy working behind the scenes to make sure your project goes smoothly and efficiently when we show up to do the work. Here is the shortlist of what to expect leading up to your project. When your contract was signed you selected a style and color at the GAF shingle. Once you made this selection any changes must be made in writing prior to installation. We will give you an estimated start week once your contract is signed. The week before your installation you will get a call, email or text from our production manager. He will set a more exact date for your install based on weather conditions. Georgia weather is unpredictable and can affect our scheduling. We will do our best to inform you of any schedule changes. Our production manager will place a NGE ROOFING sign in your yard the day before install. This will help with material drop the next day. And even though we send our crew a picture of the house they are tearing off, this is the second wall of defense to sure that we are at the right location. The roofing material and dumpster will typically be delivered the day before or on the day of install and placed in an agreed-upon location. Sometimes our crews bring a trailer with them the day of install and haul off all debris at the completion of the job.
What can I expect during my project?
Typically we will arrive between 6:30-7:00 am on the day of your project. The existing roof will be carefully removed. Repair of the deck under your existing shingles will be handled next. Clean up of the stripped roofing material is a high priority! Part of the team will be working all day to clear the debris. We work hard to clean up and realize how important that is to you.
Evaluating Roof Damage for Insurance Claims
Insurance adjusters assess roof damage based on specific criteria, including signs of physical damage from natural disasters or accidents covered by your policy. They look for indicators such as damaged or missing shingles and structural integrity. It’s common practice for your chosen roofing contractor to be present during the insurance adjuster’s inspection. This ensures all storm-related damages are properly identified and accounted for during the claim process. The cost for roof replacement varies, influenced by the damage extent, required work scope, and insurance coverage. Your contractor will provide a detailed estimate covering materials and labor. Filing a claim might not automatically increase your insurance premiums. However, certain scenarios, like extensive storm damage or frequent claims within a short period, could affect your rates. While obtaining multiple estimates is an option, it’s essential to ensure your contractor’s quote aligns with the insurance estimate to guarantee coverage. If your claim is denied, consider consulting with a public adjuster or attorney to assess and potentially appeal the decision, aiming to secure a favorable outcome. Regular discussions with your insurance agent can clarify your coverage details, helping you make informed decisions about your policy, especially before storm seasons. For comprehensive roof repair or replacement services, choose a professional roofing company recognized for quality work and reliability.
