Some companies subcontract everything out to whoever is available, with little oversight. Others have employee crews and a project manager on every job. Ask who will be doing the work, who is supervising, and how quality is checked. Consistent crews produce more consistent results.
9. Confirm Cleanup Standards
A roofing job creates a huge amount of debris. Old shingles, nails, wrappers, and other waste will be all over your yard if cleanup is not part of the plan. Ask specifically how cleanup is handled, including magnetic sweeping for nails, daily cleanup, and final walkthrough.
10. Trust Your Gut
If something feels off, it probably is. The best contractors are professional, easy to talk to, and willing to answer every question.
